Video games published by Activision include titles released from 1983 to the present.
Activision is a video game company that is a subsidiary of Microsoft.
Founded as Computer Arts in 1979 by Jim Levy, David Crane, Larry Kaplan, Alan Miller and Bob Whitehead, the company was renamed to Activision shortly afterward.
From 1980 to 2000, Activision was both a video game developer and publisher.
After a reorganization in 2000, Activision Holdings was formed to manage the company and its subsidiaries, plus the corporate name was changed to Activision Publishing, Inc. After this, Activision only published games developed by other developers.
