Xbox 360 was the second home console by Microsoft. It was first released in 2005, in configurations with and without internal hard drives. It was followed up by many different configurations with varying hard drive sizes, as well as two slimmer redesigns, the Xbox 360 S and the Xbox 360 E. All Xbox 360 models were discontinued on April 20, 2016.

Models

Xbox 360

The original Xbox 360 was released in North America on November 15, 2001, in Japan on February 22, 2002, and in Europe and Oceania on March 14, 2002. It was available in many configurations. The Xbox 360 Core did not come with a hard drive, and the Xbox 360 Premium came with a 20 MB hard drive.

On April 29, 2007, an Elite configuration of the original Xbox 360 was released with a 120 MB hard drive. The Xbox 360 Core was discontinued on October 27, 2007 and was replaced with the Xbox 360 Arcade, which also lacked a hard drive.

August 1, 2008, the Xbox 360 Premium was released with a 60 GB hard drive.

Xbox 360 S

A slimmer model, the Xbox 360 S, was released on June 19, 2010 with a 250 GB hard drive. On August 3, 2010, another configuration of the Xbox 360 S was released with a 4 GB hard drive.

Xbox 360 E

On June 10, 2013, the Xbox 360 E, a streamlined version of the Xbox 360 based on the Xbox One design, was released in 4 GB and 250 GB configurations.
