Evercade is the brand name of video game consoles by Blaze Entertainment. They are bartop, handheld, and home consoles that run most video games through the emulation of several classic arcade, computer, and video game console systems. Unlike most emulation-based systems, the Evercade consoles run games stored on ROM cartridges.
Models
There are seven Evercade consoles. Each has a standard mini USB slot that can be used to connect the console to a Windows-based computer to update the console firmware. The video on the Evercade, Evercade VS, Evercade EXP, and Evercade VS-R can also can be output to a television via an mini HDMI cable.
All of the cartridges can be played on the handheld console models. Because of licensing issues, the Namco Museum cartridges cannot be used on the Evercade VS systems without an unofficial patch.
Evercade
The original Evercade was a battery-powered handheld video game console with one cartridge slot.
It was originally scheduled to release in the fourth quarter of 2019, however, it was delayed first to May 20, 2020, then to May 22, 2020. Some locations received the release later than that due to shipping delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
On May 31, 2022, Blaze Entertainment announced that the original handheld Evercade would be discontinued in favor of the Evercade EXP handheld system which was released on December 15, 2022.
The Evercade was available in two versions:
- The Evercade Starter Pack included the console, a mini USB cable and Atari Collection 1.
- The Evercade Premium Pack included the console, a mini USB cable, Atari Collection 1, Interplay Collection 1, Namco Museum Collection 1.
- After the stock of the Namco Museum Collection 1 cartridges were discontinued, the Evercade Premium Pack was amended to include Atari Collection 1, Data East Collection 1, and Interplay Collection 1.
Evercade VS
The Evercade VS is a home console that has two cartridge slots. The cartridge slots are loaded in the front of the console and covered by a flap, which is inspired by the design of the Nintendo Entertainment System.
It also has support for up to four USB controllers. The original handheld Evercade system can also be plugged into the Evercade VS and used as a controller.
The Evercade VS was released on November 3, 2021. It was available in three versions:
- The Evercade VS Starter Pack included the console, an HDMI cable, a mini USB cable, and Technōs Arcade 1.
- The Evercade VS Premium Pack included the console, two controllers, an HDMI cable, a mini USB cable, Data East Arcade 1, and Technōs Arcade 1.
- The Evercade VS Founders Edition, limited to 5000 units, included the console, two controllers, an HDMI cable, a mini USB cable, a handheld black link cable, Atari Arcade 1, The Bitmap Brothers Collection 1, Data East Arcade 1, Gaelco Arcade 1, Intellivision Collection 1, and Technōs Arcade 1.
- It also included extras such as a certificate of authenticity, two Evercade VS art cards, a Founder Edition poster, a steel book cartridge holder, a Founder Edition keyring, and the option of including the purchaser's name in the credits.
Blaze Entertainment discontinued the Evercade VS in favor of the Evercade VS-R system when the latter was released on November 28, 2024.
Evercade EXP
The Evercade EXP was a battery-powered handheld video game console with one cartridge slot and a mini-HDMI port for connection to an external television. It superseded the original handheld Evercade. It can be rotated to play games in a vertical orientation.
The EXP model was originally scheduled to release on November 24, 2022, however, it was postponed to December 15, 2022.
It includes 18 built-in Capcom games including the arcade versions of 1942, 1943: The Battle of Midway, 1944: The Loop Master, Bionic Commando, Captain Commando, Commando, Final Fight, Forgotten Worlds, Ghouls 'n Ghosts, Legendary Wings, Mercs, Street Fighter II': Hyper Fighting, Vulgus, the Nintendo Entertainment System versions of Mega Man and Mega Man 2, and the Super Nintendo Entertainment System versions of Breath of Fire and Mega Man X.

Evercade VS-R
The Evercade VS-R was a home console that was a remodeled version of the Evercade VS.

Originally, Blaze Entertainment didn't include emulated arcade games on Evercade cartridges. Instead, they included ports of arcade games to consoles. However, the May 20, 2021 announcement of the games included with the Evercade VS showcased the availability of arcade collections, represented by a purple color rather than the red color associated with console games.
On November 4, 2022, Blaze Entertainment began releasing computer games on Evercade cartridges, represented by a blue color.
