Knuckles is a character that is part of a Japanese multimedia series consisting of comics, television shows, films, music, and video games.

Created by Takashi Yuda and Sonic Team, he first appeared in Sonic the Hedgehog 3 for Sega Genesis on October 18, 1994.

Knuckles was included in some games in the Sega All-Stars series.

Fictional character biography

Knuckles is a strong red echidna who can punch through rocks.

He is the last living descendent of a clan of echidnas who guarded the chaos emeralds.

Because of this, he is a foe of those who he believes will steal the emeralds and a begrudging ally of those who aim to protect them.

This has made him both an ally and an enemy of characters such as Sonic the Hedgehog, Tails, and Amy Rose.
