PlayChoice-10 was an arcade hardware platform with interchangeable program boards which were released from August 1986 to 1991.
Succeeding the VS. System, the PlayChoice-10 was designed and manufactured by Nintendo.
Hardware
The PlayChoice-10 was based on the Nintendo Entertainment System.
It had a timer that restricted the amount of time each game could be played per credit.
Models
The upright cabinets of the PlayChoice-10 were available in single-screen and double-screen variants.
The second screen displayed controls and descriptions for the chosen game.
A countertop variant had two controllers set up side-by-side.
Games for the PlayChoice-10
Some games have a 1985 copyright notice despite the fact the hardware wasn't released until 1986. These games list the copyright year of the home console release.
