SM (Sharp Microcomputer) 4-bit microcontrollers by Sharp were first introduced in 1975.

They were used in LCD handhelds such as the Game & Watch series by Nintendo.

Types

There were several variations available.

Soviet clone

The Soviet Union produced several handheld LCD games under the Elektronika label that were based on Nintendo's Game & Watch systems. These included a clone of the Sharp SM microcontroller known as the KB1013VK1-2.
