Robert Norton Noyce (December 12, 1927 – June 3, 1990) was an American physicist, inventor, and entrepreneur who co-founded Intel and Fairchild Semiconductor.

He co-invented integrated circuits that consisted of independent transistors on a single piece of silicon.
