Broken Sword: The Shadow of the Templars, originally released in North America as Circle of Blood, was the first game in the Broken Sword series.

Story

An American named George Stobbart witnesses a murder at a cafe in France and becomes the prime suspect. With the help of a French reporter named Nicole Collard, George investigates the murder in order to get to the bottom of the story and clear George's name.

Director's Cut

A Director's Cut was released in 2009 and 2010 for Wii, Nintendo DS, and iPhone with new close-up art and new interactive sequences. The Director's Cut was released for PC and Mac in 2010.
