Playable characters
As part of the wider Sega All-Stars series, Sonic and Sega All-Stars Racing includes two dozen characters that cross over from popular video game franchises.
The characters are all owned by Sega, with the exception of Disney's Wreck-It Ralph, real-life racecar driver Danica Patrick, Microsoft's Xbox Avatar on Xbox 360, the Mii player avatar on Nintendo Wii U, plus the Heavy, Pyro, and Spy from Valve's Team Fortress 2 on Windows. In addition, the charity Simon Lane DLC kart is from Yogscast.
It includes twenty-four playable characters, excluding the two mentioned above. Football Manager, General Winter, and Willemus is exclusive to Windows.
As mentioned above, the kart based on Simon Lane of Yogscast can be purchased as downloadable content for Windows with all proceeds going to charity. Ryo Hazuki can be purchased as DLC on Windows and Metal Sonic can also be purchased on most platforms.
