Contest

A contest was held by Imagic for the first people who could max out the score in Atlantis. Atlantis II cartridges were sent out to the people who submitted proof of their accomplishment.

Out of those who received a cartridge, four were chosen to be sent to Bermuda for the final round of the competition. The winner of the final competition won $10,000 USD.

Atlantis II

Atlantis II is the contest version of Atlantis. It is modified with faster gameplay, a slightly different scoring system, and enemy ships that give a lower score count.

The box and cartridge of Atlantis II are identical to that of Atlantis. The only way to differentiate the two games by sight is the printed Atlantis II sticker placed on the packaging.
