Xuan-Yuan Sword: Dance of the Maple Leaves (軒轅劍 楓之舞, Xuān-Yuán Jiàn Fēng Zhī Wǔ), also known as Xuan-Yuan Sword Side Story: Dance of the Maple Leaves (軒轅劍外傳 楓之舞, Xuān-Yuán Jiàn Fēng Wài Chuàn Zhī Wǔ), and simply Dance of the Maple Leaves (楓之舞, Fēng Zhī Wǔ), is a Taiwanese role-playing video game developed by the DOMO Team (狂徒製作群) within Softstar Entertainment. It is the first side story in the Xuan-Yuan Sword series, and is the third game in the series overall.
Development
Xuan-Yuan Sword Side Story: Dance of the Maple Leaves was the last game officially developed by the DOMO Team. While this name would remain unofficially for teams developing Xuan-Yuan Sword games, Softstar Entertainment reassigned its employees into departments near the end of development on Xuan-Yuan Sword: Mists Beyond the Mountains in 1999.
Releases
Xuan-Yuan Sword Side Story: Dance of the Maple Leaves was released for DOS in Taiwan on January 6, 1995.
It was released worldwide on iOS on February 8, 2013 and on Windows through Steam as Xuan-Yuan Sword: Dance of the Maple Leaves on February 8, 2021, however, the game text remained in Chinese.
