Universal Serial Bus (USB) is the name of connector standards used in various devices.

The standard allows for transferring data and supplying electricity for various devices.

USB was designed by Compaq, DEC, IBM, Intel, Microsoft, NEC, and Nortel in January 1996.

USB devices have been commercially produced since May 1996.
