Super Famicom Box was a pay-to-play platform by Nintendo that was based on the Super Nintendo Entertainment System.

Release

The Super Famicom Box was manufactured from 1992 to 1994 for release in hotels only in Japan.

It was preceded by the Nintendo Super System, which was released in 1991 and 1992. The Nintendo Super System also was based on Super Nintendo Entertainment System hardware, but it was intended for arcades.
