Domark

Domark Limited was founded in 1984, after the founders Dominic Wheatley and Mark Strachan.

The Sales Curve

The Sales Curve Limited was founded in 1988 by Jane Cavanagh.

Big Red Software

The Big Red Software Company Limited, doing business as Big Red Software, was founded by Paul Ranson on October 16, 1989.

Domark Group

Domark was renamed Domark Group Limited in 1990.

Sales Curve Interactive

In 1994, The Sales Curve was renamed Sales Curve Interactive.

Eidos Interactive

In 1995, Eidos Public Limited Company acquired Domark, Simis, and Big Red Software, for £12.9 million.

On May 31, 1996, Domark, Simis, and Big Red Software were merged to create Eidos Interactive

SCi Entertainment Group and Kuju Entertainment

In 1996, Sales Curve Interactive entered the stock exchange and was renamed SCi Entertainment Group plc.

In March 1998, there was a management buyout of Simis from Eidos, with the resulting company being named Kuju Entertainment.

Square Limited

Also in 1998, Square founded its English studio, Square Limited. It was renamed Square Enix Limited in 2003 after the merger of Square and Enix.

Eidos

In May 2005, SCi purchased Eidos, the parent group of Eidos Interactive, and changed its name to Eidos plc in 2008.

Square Enix Europe

Eidos was acquired by Square Enix on November 9, 2009. The Eidos branches were consolidated into Square Enix Limited and the Square Enix Europe name was used by the resulting company.
