Mattel Electronics was a subsidiary of Mattel.

Foundation

Mattel was founded in 1977, with the release of Mattel electronic games.

Mattel Electronics designed the Intellivision video game console, which was released in 1979.

The Mattel Aquarius, designed by Radofin, was produced by Mattel Electronics in 1983.

Closure

It was closed in 1984 when Mattel eliminated all of their non-toy divisions.

The rights were acquired in 1997 by Intellivision Productions.

The rights were then transferred to Intellivision Entertainment in May 2018.
