Atari Corporation forms Atari Interactive
At the Winter Consumer Electronics Show on January 2, 1996, Atari Corporation announced the formation of Atari Interactive, to produce video games for Windows. However, since the company that planned to merge with the Atari Corporation, JTS Inc., had no interest in the video game or Windows markets, Atari Interactive was closed in May 1996, before any games were released under that label.
Infogrames Interactive
In March 1998, JTS sold the Atari name and assets to Hasbro Interactive. On December 6, 2000, Infogrames purchased Hasbro Interactive and renamed it Infogrames Interactive.
Atari Interactive
Infogrames Interactive was renamed Atari Interactive in May 2003.
