Name

The name is based on the 1993 Super Nintendo Entertainment System compilation titled Super Mario All-Stars, which is known in Japan as Super Mario Collection (スーパーマリオコレクション).

Development

The emulators for GameCube, as well as Wii graphics and audio, were developed by Nintendo European Research & Development.

Limited availability

As part of Nintendo's 2020 celebration of 35 years of Super Mario, Super Mario 3D All-Stars was only available to purchase until March 31, 2021.
