Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, known as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles ~Super Ninja Turtles~ (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles ~スーパー亀忍者~, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles ~Sūpā Kame Ninja~) in Japan, Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles in the United Kingdom on arcade, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Arcade Game on Nintendo Entertainment System in the United States, and as Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles II: The Arcade Game on Nintendo Entertainment System in the United Kingdom, was a beat 'em up video game by Konami.

It was based on the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles from the 1987 animated series.

Plot

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles have to save their friends and defeat the evil Shredder.

The turtles saw that the building in midtown where reporter April O'Neil lived was on fire. They jumped through a window to save her, fighting various Foot Clan ninjas and other enemies. When they finally reached April's loft, the rhinoceros mutant Rocksteady came in through the floor in a transport module. The turtles defeated Rocksteady, however, Shredder left the transport module, kidnapped April, and jumped through the window.

They followed Shredder, then fought various enemies in Time Square before being confronted by the warthog mutant Bebop. After defeating Bebop, they entered the sewer system south of Houston Street. At the end of the sewer, they defeated Professor Baxter Stockman as well as the mouser robots he unleashed.

Exclusive to the Nintendo Entertainment System version, Central Park was covered in ice and snow. The turtles defeated various enemies before confronting the alien bounty hunter Tora. After defeating Tora, they destroyed the weather machine which restored the city to its pre-snow state.

The turtles then fought enemies in Vinnies Valet Parking Garage. At the end of the garage, they defeated Bebop and Rocksteady, or Baxter Stockman in his fly mutation form in the NES version. After this, they untied April O'Neil, who was being held captive in the garage.

They then fought many Foot Clan ninjas across Madison Square Avenue before hopping on skateboards on which they fought the remaining ninjas on Rock-A-Fella Expressway. The turtles then jumped into the party wagon before breaking through a barrier and crashing down to the street below.

At the Rock Quarry Factory, mouser robots brought a tied-up Master Splinter into the building. After fighting multiple enemies, they defeated the rock soldier, Granitor. After this, the turtles were able to rescue Splinter.

Exclusive to the Nintendo Entertainment System version, the turtles fought off multiple Foot Clan ninjas as well as supernatural enemies, such as a tiger created using ninja magic. They then defeated the intergalactic bounty hunter, Shogun.

The turtles finally made it to the underground Technodrome. They fought multiple enemies and then had to face the rock warrior General Tragg. After this, they defeated the being from Dimension X, Krang, who was fighting them in his android suit. However, afterward, Krang took off in a rocket seat. Finally, they defeated Shredder in front of the portal to Dimension X and escaped the Technodrome just as it exploded.

The turtles were unaware if Shredder and Krang were killed in the explosion or escaped to Dimension X. However, it was later revealed that Shredder survived.
