Thimbleweed Park was a point-and-click adventure game by Terrible Toybox set in the fictional town of Thimbleweed Park.
It was crowdfunded by a successful Kickstarter. It was released on March 30, 2017.
Story
Two FBI detectives come to Thimbleweed Park to investigate a murder. During the investigation, they meet a foul-mouthed clown who never removes his makeup and a video game developer.
Development
Thimbleweed Park was created by Ron Gilbert and Gary Winnick, the creators of Maniac Mansion. It is co-designed by David Fox, the creator of Zak McKracken and the Alien Mindbenders. The characters are by Gary Winnick, and the backgrounds are by Mark Ferrari. The art style of the characters is in the style of Maniac Mansion and Zak McKracken, and the background art and the verb menu are reminiscent of Monkey Island 2.
