Versions
Heartthrob Memorial (Tokimeki Memorial) was originally released for the PC Engine Super CD-ROM² on May 27, 1994. This version was released for the PC Engine Mini on March 19, 2020.
Heartthrob Memorial: Forever With You (Tokimeki Memorial: Forever With You) was released for PlayStation on October 13, 1995, Sega Saturn on July 19, 1996, Windows on December 4, 1997, and PlayStation Portable on March 9, 2006. This version included additional minigames, improved graphics and sound, and a new opening video. The PlayStation version was released as a PSOne Classic for the PlayStation Network for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Portable on November 11, 2009.
Heartthrob Memorial: Under the Tree of Legends (Tokimeki Memorial: Densetsu no Ki no Shita de) was released for Super Famicom on February 9, 1996. Because of the restrictions in hardware, the introduction video and most voiceovers except those during loading were not included. This release came with a CD containing a radio drama and a new arrangement of the ending theme, "Time for Two" ("二人の時", "Futari no Toki").

Fan translation
On March 8, 2022, Translated Games, a fan translation group, released a Japanese-to-English patch for the Super Famicom version. This version includes optional files that add the introduction video, voiced confessions, and voiced ending song through the fan-developed co-processor MSU-1 that adds CD-quality audio to Super Famicom hardware.
