| On July 8, 2020, Sega announced the Astro City Mini. However, on September 18, 2018, Sega Ages producer Yosuke Okunari revealed on Twitter that the system would be developed and distributed by Sega Toys. [[M2]], the company which developed the [[emulation]] on the Sega Genesis Mini and the Game Gear Micro, would be involved.
