Nintendo Super System was an arcade hardware platform with interchangeable program boards that was designed by Nintendo Research & Development.
The Nintendo Super System was preceded by the PlayChoice-10, which was based on the Nintendo Entertainment System, from 1986 to 1991.
It was succeeded by a similar pay-to-play system for hotel rooms in Japan known as the Super Famicom Box, which was produced from 1991 to 1994.

It was manufactured by Nintendo in 1991 and 1992.

The Nintendo Super System was based on the Super Nintendo Entertainment System.
It had a timer that restricted the amount of time each game could be played per credit.
