Teradrive (テラドライブ) was a hybrid computer and home video game console designed by Sega and manufactured by IBM.
Models
The Teradrive was released in Japan on May 31, 1991 in three models.
All models contained a Sega Mega Drive with an optional enhanced 128KB VDP mode on top of the standard hardware. They also contained an IBM PC/AT-compatible computer board with an Intel 80286 processor clocked at 10 Mhz with VGA graphics output.
The first, simply labeled as the Teradrive, shipped with 640 KB RAM and one 3½-inch floppy disk drive.
The second, named the Teradrive 2, shipped with 1 MB RAM and two 3½-inch floppy disk drives.
The third, named the Teradrive 3, shipped with 2.5 MB RAM, one 3½-inch floppy disk drive, and one 10 MB hard disk drive with a PC DOS variant known as DOS J4.0/V pre-installed.
Legacy
M2 developed ports of Space Harrier and Space Harrier II for the Sega Genesis Mini 2 that used the 128KB VDP mode of the Teradrive.
