Yu-Gi-Oh! (遊☆戯☆王, Yū☆Gi☆Ō, "King of Games") is a Japanese multimedia series consisting of books, comics, films, music, television shows, and video games.

Release

It was originally created as a manga on September 17, 1996 by Kazuki Takahashi.

Development

The first video game adaptation was Yu-Gi-Oh! Monster Capsule: Breed and Battle, which was developed and published by Konami on PlayStation in Japan on July 23, 1998.

The video games were developed by Konami, Other Ocean Interactive, Matrix Software, and WinkySoft.
