Nexus Browser, originally known as WorldWideWeb, is the first browser for the World Wide Web. It was developed by Tim Berners-Lee at CERN for NeXTSTEP and was completed on December 25, 1990. It was released to the worldwide public on August 1991.
The source code for WorldWideWeb was released into the public domain on April 30, 1993. WorldWideWeb was renamed Nexus in 1994. The browser was discontinued the same year.
