Voltmace was an English video game console manufaturer.

History

Voltmace was founded in Baldock, England in 1977, as a sales and marketing company.

They began selling video game consoles when they struck a deal with Teleng to sell their consoles.

In 1979, Teleng left the video game business, and Voltmace looked for another partner. In 1980, Voltmace struck a deal with Videomaster, the video game arm of the Waddingtons card and board game manufacturer, to sell Voltmace branded versions of their Database console.

At the time the machine was being manufactured in Hong Kong, and when Waddingtons decided to exit the video game console market in 1981, Voltmace purchased the rights to the console. By June 1981, the consoles were developed in Voltmace's Baldock factory.

By 1983, Voltmace had ceased operations.
