The Splatoon series is a multimedia series by Nintendo, consisting of video games, comics, and music.
Characters from Splatoon also appear in some games in the Super Smash Bros. series and in some games in the Mario Kart series.
Character biographies
Inklings can transform between humanoid and squid forms.
Likewise, Octolings transform between humanoid and octopus forms.
Both can spray ink at opponents as well as swim in it for quick travel
