Odyssey² was a cartridge-based home video game console by Magnavox and Philips. It was released as the Videopac G7000 in Europe, as the Odyssey2 (オデッセイ2) in Japan, and as the Odyssey in Brazil and Peru.
Release
The Odyssey² was released in North America in September 1978, in Europe in December 1978, in Japan in September 1982, and in Brazil on May 1983.
Legacy
The legacy of the Odyssey² remains, even after its heyday. Independent, unlicensed games continue to be produced for the system to this day.
