My Nintendo is a Nintendo loyalty points program that replaced Club Nintendo, the latter of which ended in 2015.
Launch
My Nintendo launched with the release of the Miitomo mobile app on March 17, 2016 in Japan and on March 31, 2016 in the rest of the world.
Rewards
Club Nintendo has digital merchandise available. Some can be purchased with silver points, while others must be purchased with gold points.
Silver points can be earned by performing actions on the Nintendo website, logging into specific applications, or performing actions in specific games.
Gold points, on the other hand, can only be earned by purchasing digital or retail games, the latter of which must be registered with My Nintendo within one year of release in order to earn the points.
On November 8, 2018, Nintendo added physical rewards to Club Nintendo in Japan. These items can be ordered with silver points plus a small monetary charge to cover shipping and handling costs. Physical rewards were later added to My Nintendo in other regions as well.

Digital Nindie Game Gold Points Rewards
My Nintendo offered independently developed games in five volumes with four games each from 2017 to 2018. These games were referred to as "Nindie Games", a portmanteau of Nintendo and indie, and were available as gold points rewards. These were available for a limited time as "Nindie Game Gold Points Rewards" for the Wii U, Nintendo 3DS and New Nintendo 3DS systems.
