Jennifer McMurray is the president and founder of West Elmira Computers Museum.

Cyberdog Castle

Jennifer McMurray started Cyberdog Castle as a late-night bulletin board system in 1991. It was registered as a trade name in New York state in 2004.

McMurray Internet Channel

Jennifer started a website known as MIC World on October 27, 1996. In 1997, she launched an internet television station known as the McMurray Internet-Broadcasting Channel, or MIC. It was renamed the McMurray Internet Channel when it was briefly relaunched in 2007, as well as on YouTube.

The Adventuress

One of the pages created with the October 27, 1996 launch of the MIC World website was dedicated to news and reviews of adventure games. This adventure website was renamed several times and ultimately became known as The Adventuress on December 11, 2009.

LASER

Beginning on January 30, 2000, she created an emulator project entitled Little Arcade System Emulator Releases, or LASER, based on, with permission, Mike Green's Sinvader.

Dream On

Jennifer launched the Dream On website dedicated to independent Dreamcast development on October 4, 2001.

She launched the first Dream On contest on October 8, 2003. Partnering with The GOAT Store, the winners of the contest, Inhabitants and Maqiupai, were professionally pressed on compact disc in the MIL-CD format for Dreamcast and sold commercially.

She released the first issue of the Dream On magazine on May 22, 2004 at the Midwest Gaming Classic.

DCGenerator

On July 4, 2002, she continued to develop DCGenerator, or DCGen, the Dreamcast port of the Sega Genesis emulator, Generator, with permission from the original porter, ATani.

DreamCon

Jennifer held the first DreamCon Dreamcast convention on May 22 and May 23, 2004 at the Midwest Gaming Classic. The convention has been held sporadically since then.

Cydoca Entertainment

Jennifer registered Cydoca Entertainment as a trade name in New York state in 2005. Its name is derived from her first registered trade name, Cyberdog Castle.

West Elmira Computers Museum

Jennifer formed West Elmira Computers Museum in 2006, from the collection she began as a child.

Other projects

Jennifer has taken on many roles in the video game industry, including information technology, quality assurance, programming, writing, art, animation, music, foley, direction, moderation, and video game journalism.

She provided quality assurance for Sierra On-Line, Double Fine Productions, Daedalic Entertainment, The Sleeping Machine, and Telltale. She was also a community moderator for Telltale and Double Fine Productions.

As a video game journalist, she has written for Adventure Gamers, Adventure Lantern, The Adventuress, Arcade Heroes, Consolevision, DC Emulation, DC Evolution, DCEmu UK, The Dreamcast Junkyard, Dreamcast-Scene, Dream On, Emulation Camp, The International House of Mojo, Retrogames, Vintage Gaming, and Zophar's Domain. She has also contributed to articles for Retro Gamer magazine.

She also contributed to open source game projects, including ScummVM, ResidualVM, OpenBOR, and the Amnesia Fortnight community games Bad Golf: Community Edition and Pongball. She also created DFAF Adventure, The Dreamcat Adventure, and ported OpenQuest to the Wintermute Engine. She was the project leader of Doublle Fine Forum Downtime Funtime Adventure. She was also the project leader and co-project leader, respectively, of two other Amnesia Fortnight community games: The Lost Dev Team and Amnesia Adventure.
