Microïds

Microïds was founded in 1985 by Elliot Grassiano

Index

Index was founded by Emmanuel Olivier in 1992.

Artcad

Artcad was founded by Vincent Berlioz and Jacques Simian in 1993.

Index merges with Artcad

In 1995, Index merged with Artcad. Artcad's founders took over management. Berlioz became CEO and Simian was placed in charge of editorial management. The merged company retained the name Index.

France Télécom Multimédia

France Télécom Multimédia, the software division of France Télécom, was founded in 1997.

index+, acquisition of index+ and France Télécom Multimédia, and Wanadoo Edition

Index was renamed index+ in 2000.

index+ was acquired by Wanadoo later that year, along with France Télécom Multimedia.

After the purchase, index+ and France Télécom Multimedia were merged to become the gaming division of Wanadoo, Wanadoo Edition.

Merger of Wanadoo Edition and Microïds

Wanadoo Edition and Microïds were merged to form MC2 France in 2003.

MC2 and Microïds

MC2 France was renamed MC2 in 2005 and then was renamed Microïds in 2007.

Acquisition by Anuman Interactive and Microids

Anuman Interactive acquired Microïds in 2010. The company was renamed Microids in 2019.
