Commander Keen in Invasion of the Vorticons was a platform game by iD Software. It is the first game in the Commander Keen series.

Story

When a young boy named Billy Batson dons his brother's football helmet to become the intergalactic hero Commander Keen, he saves planet Earth from an invasion by alien beings known as the Vorticons.

Release

It was a shareware platform game released episodically. The first episode was free to share, and the other two were available to purchase.

It was also sold with all three episodes in one package.

It was released by iD Software for DOS on December 14, 1990.
