Batman: The Telltale Series was an episodic adventure game developed by Telltale Games based on the DC Comics character Batman.
The first episode was released in August 2016. The other four episodes were released in the following months.
On December 17, 2019, Athlon Games published Batman: Shadows Edition, a collection consisting of Batman: The Telltale Series and Batman: The Enemy Within, along with an optional noir-style shader for each episode. The shader is also available as downloadable content for those who already own the games.
Batman: The Telltale Series takes place in a unique universe and portrays events differently from the stories that have come before.
Bruce Wayne must choose whether to address each problem as himself or as his alter ego Batman. He has to use his detective skills, the technology in his Batsuit, and the technology in his secret Batcave in order to solve each problem he comes across.
In the first episode, "Realm of Shadows", the caped crusader finds himself struggling between old friends and new, both as Batman and Bruce Wayne.
In the second episode, "Children of Arkham", Bruce Wayne discovers a shocking secret about his lineage.
In the third case, "New World Order", the terrorist group that is known as the Children of Arkham intensifies their vendetta against Bruce Wayne.
In the fourth case, "Guardian of Gotham", Bruce Wayne discovers the secret behind the Lady of Arkham, the leader of the Children of Arkham, from an unlikely source.
In the fifth case, "City of Light", Bruce Wayne finally takes down the Lady of Arkham.
