The GD-ROM is a digital optical storage format that stands for Gigabyte Disc Read Only Memory.

The purpose of the GD-ROM format was to allow for storing more data than a typical compact disc, and also was intended to prevent piracy.

The format was available on the Dreamcast video game console as well as as an option for the Chihiro, NAOMI, NAOMI 2, and Triforce arcade hardware.
