Leon Schlesinger Productions

Prior to the formation of a dedicated studio, the Looney Tunes cartoons were produced by a studio owned by Hugh Harman and Rudolf Ising for Leon Schlesinger.

The shorts were developed in-house when Leon Schlesinger Productions was in June 1932.

Warner Bros. Cartoons

Leon Shlesinger sold the studio to Warner Bros. for $700,000 USD on July 1, 1944, after which the studio became known as Warner Bros. Cartoons.

Closure of Warner Bros. Cartoons

Warner Bros. Cartoons closed in 1964. The Looney Tunes cartoons were then animated by a studio run by David H. DePatie and Friz Freleng from the Warner Bros. Cartoons studio.

Warner Bros.-Seven Arts Animation

In 1967, Warner Bros.-Seven Arts Animation was formed to once again create the Looney Tunes shorts in-house. The company closed in 1969.
