X-Men is a group that is part of an American multimedia series consisting of comics, television shows, films, music, books, and video games.
X-Men is a superhero team created in September 1963 by the Marvel Comics writer Stan Lee and the writer and artist Jack Kirby.
Some members of the X-Men also were in some entries in the The Avengers series, some entries in the Marvel Super Heroes series, and in some games in the Capcom vs. series.
Fictional character biography
The X-Men are a group of mutants, humans with a mutant X gene that gives them superpowers. They are led by Charles Xavier, also known as Professor X, who is a powerful telepath who can read and control minds.
Marvel comics
In the comics, the original roster was comprised of Professor X, Cyclops, Jean Grey, Beast, Angel, and Iceman. They fought the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants, which was comprised of Magneto, Mastermind, Quicksilver, Scarlet Witch, and Toad.
Pryde of the X-Men
This version of the X-Men debuted in 1989. The first roster was composed of Professor X, Cyclops, Storm, Nightcrawler, Colossus, Wolverine, Kitty Pryde, and The Dazzler.

20th Century Studios X-Men series
The 20th Century Studios X-Men series began with the release of the first X-Men film produced by Twentieth Century Fox Film Corporation in 2000. The original X-Men roster was comprised of Professor X, Cyclops, Jean Grey, Rogue, Storm, and Wolverine. They fought the Brotherhood of Mutants, which was comprised of Magneto, Toad, Mystique, and Sabretooth.
