Ultra Games was a publishing label formerly used by Konami.

Foundation

Ultra Software Corporation was a shell corporation founded in 1988 as a console game publisher by Konami. It was created to get around a restriction by Nintendo of America that limited the number of releases a publisher could release on a Nintendo systems.

Closure

In 1992, the shell corporation was reintegrated into Konami and the Ultra Games label ceased to be used because Nintendo loosened the restrictions.
