Nihon Falcom, often shortened to Falcom, is a video game developer.
Foundation
Nihon Falcom was founded in March 1981 by Masayuki Kato.
The name comes from Millenium Falcon, the starship Han Solo flew in Star Wars, with the last letter changed to an m to match naming conventions at the time. Nihon, one of the native names for Japan, was added to complete the company name.
