Sorcery Saga I (魔導物語I, Madō Monogatari I) is the first part of the Sorcery Saga series.
It was originally released as the first part of Sorcery Saga 1-2-3 (魔導物語1-2-3, Madō Monogatari 1-2-3) in Japan for MSX in 1990 and for PC-9801 in 1991.
Remakes
Sorcery Saga I was remade as Sorcery Saga I: The Three Magic Spheres (魔導物語I 3つの魔導球, Madō Monogatari I: Mittsu no Madō-kyū) for Game Gear in Japan in 1993.
It was then remade as Sorcery Saga I (魔導物語I, Madō Monogatari I) for Mega Drive in Japan in 1996. This version was released on Sega Mega Drive Mini in Japan in 2019.
A PC Engine CD-ROM² remake was released as Sorcery Saga: Graduate Child of Flame (魔導物語炎の卒園児, Madō Monogatari: Honō no Sotsuenji) in Japan in 1996.
Sorcery Saga: Curse of the Great Curry God (聖魔導物語, Sei Madō Monogatari, Story of Holy Sorcery) was the first remake released worldwide. It was released for PlayStation Vita in Japan and North America in 2013 and in Europe in 2014. A Windows port was released worldwide in 2018.
