Taiko no Tatsujin is a Japanese multimedia series consisting of taiko drum-based rhythm video games by Namco, television shorts, and a manga adaptation.

After Bandai merged with Namco, the video games were developed by Bandai Namco Studios

Characters from Taiko no Tatsujin also appear in some games in the Mario Kart series.

Character biographies

Don-chan, a taiko drum with limbs and a face, is the mascot of the series.

The secondary character is another taiko drum, Don-chan's twin brother Katsu-chan.
