The second Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game for the Game Boy, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: Back from the Sewers was titled simply Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 (ティーンエイジミュータントニンジャタートルズ 2) in Japan and as Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles II: Back from the Sewers in Europe. It was released in Japan on November 15, 1991, in North America on December 1, 1991, and in Europe on May 21, 1992.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection included the Japanese and American versions. It was released on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Windows on August 30, 2022.
