Bothtec, Inc. (ボーステック株式会社) was a video game developer and publisher.
Foundation
Bothtec was founded in Tokyo, Japan in 1984.
Acquisition by Bbmf
Bothtec was nearing bankruptcy due to legal troubles relating to a breach of licensing terms for the Legend of Galactic Heroes franchise. As a result, its upcoming projects were cancelled and Bbmf acquired the company in 2005.
Transfer of intellectual property to D4 Enterprises
In 2006, Bothtec transferred the rights to its intellectual properties to D4 Enterprise, a company founded by former Bothtec employees.
Merger into Bbmf
Bothtec was merged into Bbmf on May 1, 2009.
