Dynabyte Software was an Italian video game developer.
Dynabyte Software, Ludomedia, and Dynabyte
Christian Cantamessa, Massimo Magnasciutti, and Paolo Costabel designed a demo for an adventure game under the development team name Dynabyte Software. The three, along with Lovrano Canepa, attempted to find a publisher at the European Computer Trade Show in London, England in September 1991. After failing to find a publisher, Cantamessa received funding from his father, Canepa, and Bruno Boz.
With the funding secured, Cantamessa, Magnasciutti, and Costabel founded Ludomedia after returning to Italy from England.
Christian Cantamessa and his father left Ludomedia shortly after its founding and Marco Caprelli replaced the former as co-founder.
The company would use the official name Ludomedia, as well as the labels Dynabyte Software and Dynabyte until it closed in 1997.
After the company ceased operations, Dynabyte Software was absorbed into Virtual Edge, a company owned by Bruno Boz. Virtual Edge closed in 2000.
