Swordquest: Airworld is a video game developed by Digital Eclipse and published by Atari, S.A..

It was released on November 11, 2022, as part of the Atari 50: The Anniversary Celebration compilation for Atari VCS, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.

Development

Swordquest: Airworld was in development at Atari at the time the third game in the SwordQuest series was released in 1983. However, due to financial difficulties Atari accrued due to the video game crash that year, it was never released.

In 2022, for the fiftieth anniversary of Atari, Digital Eclipse created the game for Atari 2600 hardware based on the original design documents.
