Takehiro Izushi (出石 武宏, November 24, 1952) is a Japanese video game designer.
Early work at Nintendo
Takehiro Izushi joined Nintendo in 1975 as an engineer. His first project was the light gun target toy, Beam Gun Custom. He then worked as a programmer on Nintendo's first video game consoles, the Color TV-game series. He also worked as a programmer on the Game & Watch handhelds Fire, Octopus, and Donkey Kong.
Leading Nintendo Research & Development 1
After the head of Nintendo Research & Development 1, Gunpei Yokoi, left Nintendo, Takehiro Izushi was promoted to the position of manager of the division. He held that title until Nintendo's internal development groups were restructured by Nintendo president Satoru Iwata in 2003.
General Affairs and retirement
After the development teams were restructured, Takehiro Izushi left game development for a position in Nintendo's General Affairs division. He retired from Nintendo on February 11, 2018.
