Namco x Capcom is a strategy role-playing video game that contains characters that cross over from various series owned by Capcom and Namco.
It is the first part of a trilogy that also included Project X Zone, which added Sega characters alongside Capcom and Namco characters, as well as Project X Zone 2, which added Nintendo characters.
It was developed by Monolith Soft and published by Namco for the PlayStation 2 in Japan on May 26, 2005.
Playable characters
Namco x Capcom includes dozens of characters that cross over from popular video game franchises.
It contains characters that fight in teams of two as well as solo fighters which can provide assistance to the teams.
Namco x Capcom includes two cooperating studios with a total of sixty-one playable characters that are included in the game. Two of the characters, Reiji Arisu and Xiaomu, were created for this game.
