Climber 5, also known as Atari Climber 5 on Atari Flashback video game consoles, is an Atari 2600 video game created by Dennis Debro of Xype.
It is a remake of a video game for Atari 8-bit computers which was released as source code in Compute! magazine in 1987.
Releases
It was published by Activision for macOS and Windows in North America on Activision Anthology: Remixed Edition on October 6, 2003 and on Game Boy Advance in North America on December 8, 2003.
It was published by Atari, S.A. when it was included in the Legacy Engineering-designed Atari Flashback 2 in 2005.
It was later published by AtGames in their versions of Atari Flashback consoles in North America, including Atari Flashback 6 on September 15, 2015, Atari Flashback 7 on October 1, 2016, the first revision of the Atari Flashback Portable in 2016, Atari Flashback 8 and the second revision of the Atari Flashback portable on September 22, 2017, Atari Flashback 9 on October 24, 2018, Atari Flashback 9 Gold on November 15, 2018, the third revision of the Atari Flashback Portable in 2018, the Atari Flashback X and Atari Flashback X Deluxe on October 21, 2019, and on the fourth revision of the Atari Flashback Portable in 2019.
