Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins is a game by Nintendo R&D1. It was the second handheld game in the Super Mario series.
It led to the creation of the Wario Land series.
Plot
Wario steals Mario's castle, so Mario has to beat the traps Mario set within and get his castle back.
Versions
Super Mario Land 2: Six Golden Coins was released for Game Boy in 1992.
It was re-released via emulation on the Virtual Console for Nintendo 3DS in 2011.
A fan patch was released on December 25, 2017, which converted the game to full color for use on the Game Boy Color.
