Lawrence Edward Page (born March 26, 1973) is an American computer scientist and businessman.
Birth
Larry Page had a Jewish mother, although the family household was secular.
He was born in Lansing, Michigan in the United States to Carl Victor Page, Sr., a computer science professor at Michigan State University, and Gloria Page, an instructor in computer programming at Lyman Briggs College, on March 26, 1973.
Google Search
Page co-created Google Search with Sergey Brin and Scott Hassan. A prototype of the Google search engine was created in 1995. It was officially launched in 1997.
Google LLC
He co-founded Google Inc. with Sergey Brin in 1998. The company became Google LLC in 2018.
Alphabet Inc.
Google was restructured in 2015, at which time he and Sergey Brin co-founded the company that became Google's parent, Alphabet Inc.
Brin was president of Alphabet Inc. until he left the company in 2019. After this, Larry Page assumed the position.
