Red Dead Revolver is a video game developed by Rockstar San Diego.
It is the first entry in the Red Dead series of action-adventure games set in the 19th century in the American Old West.
Development
It was originally developed by Angel Studios under the supervision of Capcom as a spiritual successor of Gun.Smoke.
After Rockstar Games purchased Angel Studios and renamed it Rockstar San Diego, it chose to continue development of the game. However, it was changed from an arcade style spaghetti western to a game model more in-line with games by Rockstar Games studios during that time period.
